MailEnable SMTP Smart Host Exchange Online

Hallo zusammen,

ich benötige dringend Hilfe beim Aufsetzen von folgendem Setup: Kunde hat seinen MailEnable Mail-Server mit diversen Postfächern.
Jetzt hat er sich ein Microsoft O365 Abonnement gegönnt inklusive Exchange Online. Jetzt haben wir das Problem, dass wir Postfächer auf dem MailEnable Server haben und neue Postfächer auch zum Teil in Exchange Online angelegt werden.
Die Domäne wurde bereits erfolgreich in O365 angelegt und aktiviert.
Außerdem wurden die von Microsoft empfohlenen Connectoren angelegt:

Das Ziel soll sein, dass sämtlicher E-Mail Verkehr nur noch über Exchange Online geht.
In die eine Richtung, E-Mail an ein Postfach in MailEnable, funktioniert es auch einwandfrei!
Was aber nicht funktioniert, ist das Senden von E-Mails mit MailEnable über den Exchange Online Connector.
Kann mir jemand ein par Tipps geben, der so ein Setup erfolgreich betreibt?

hört sich für mich so an, als würde sich dein MeilEnable nicht/falsch bei EO authentifizieren. Schonmal geprüft?

In dem MS-Doc wird von Zertifikaten und TLSAuth gesprochen. ist das bei dir entsprechend eingerichtet?

In MailEnable hab ich SSL für POP, IMAP und SMTP optional (über andere Ports) aktiviert.
Im IIS hab ich ein Wildcard Zertifikat importiert, was auch gültig ist.

Was mir eben noch aufgefallen ist, wenn ich Mails aus Outlook sende (ohne EXO und die Connectoren - sprich direkt über MailEnable), bekomme ich auch die Meldung;
Failed to set up outbound SSL environment.
Outlook ist so konfiguriert, dass SSL benutzt werden soll.
